This final Shakespearean history alternates large-scale pageantry with domestic intrigue. The overtly theatrical tone of the play lent itself well to our Elizabethan-style theatre, which we augmented with Tudor-inspired architecture to create an internal proscenium for framing scenes and set pieces. The opulence and elegance of Henry’s court were expressed in rich woods, lush fabrics, and abundant gilding.
