In As You Like It, we wanted the seasonal progression to mirror the emotional journeys of the characters. Beginning in a cold, confined winter world, we gradually moved into the open world of Arden, where our characters felt the spring arrive as they also

blossomed into fuller versions of themselves. Most of the forest was revealed through the doors of the theatre and created an impression that the trees were passing through both levels.
