Producing The Book of Will at Utah Shakespeare Festival, I felt we had to lean into the Festival’s long, rich history with the Bard and his work.  One of the main aspects of this was to convert their modern Elizabethan theatre into a rendering of its predecessor and to employ all of the conventional stage tricks that had been hallmarks of that space, while still leaving room to surprise the audience with unexpected magic.
