The intent of the Complete Works design was to have a neutral quality that still set the audience up for the chaos and ridiculousness of the show. Because the director wanted to be able to reference a list of the play titles at several points during the show, that became an obvious jumping off point for the design. From there, it was just a matter of making as many jokes with the titles as we possibly could.
