As my last project in grad school, Temple mounted two productions of Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information in rep with each other. The script is amorphous and ambiguous in its details, so the two directors could approach it in very different ways, but we had to

establish a reality that could work for both. The image I crafted is based on the idea of a pulse moving through a pixel field, which could feel cold and technological, an obstacle to the expression of humanity, while providing dynamic and varied staging possibilities.
