I had designed a previous production of this show, and was eager to re-envision it with such a great team. I was very interested in the trapped, urban feeling of this environment, which led me to the chain-link and plywood fence idea. We visually forced the depth of the room with the tile-floor city shadow and the tiny slit of light upstage. At the end of the play, when we see possibilities beginning,
