Texture was very important to this set.  We mimicked the massively rough plaster of the cottage walls by thick applications of Structo-Lite and foam.  The wood was all coated in cheesecloth to give it a rough appearance.  The stone floor was cartooned, routed into the MDF, and then chiseled back at the edges to provide an organic sense of dimension.
