The biggest challenge on this show was to find exactly the right combination of texture and color treatments to render this world of bark and tree hollows in a way that felt both real and magical. Through a long series of conversations, research, and samples, we arrived at a many-layered process that utilized roughly cut cardboard strips as a base with layers of cheesecloth, Jaxsan, bead foam, and fake foliage to create the organic look of the world.
